Description

Every soul reacts differently to being possessed by a god; most mortal bodies disintegrate immediately under the grasp of such spiritual power, and though some may last longer than others, almost all will eventually wither away if held by that god for too long.
Some, though--a very rare select few--do not wither at all. Their bodies and souls, unlike the majority of their brethren, are not only able to hold the power of the god that lives in them, but harness the full force of its energy to their own will--or, if bent correctly, to the god's will.
It is these creatures, these Fit Vessels, that are gifted entirely by chance a sort of spiritual resistance and connection to the gods, a bond so powerful it is incomparable to any other mortal except other vessels of their kind.
